How long have you been in business?
Cornerstone Assistance Network was a vision of the North Richland Hills Baptist Church and began to meet the needs of people in 1997. The Cornerstone Resource Network was established to offer emergency assistance of food, clothing and household goods. It has quickly grown into a holistic organization meeting the needs of thousands of people each year. Some of the needs that are being address are: * Transitional and long-term housing with case management * Mentoring programs that include life and job skills * Educational programs that include GED, computer and software classes as well as college classes * Afterschool childcare and summer kid's club * Food, clothing and household goods
What is your primary product or service?
Cornerstone Assistance Network is an organization that is dedicated to meeting the needs of the homeless and low income population in Tarrant County, Texas. The mission statement is "Uniting with others in Christian love to meet the needs of people."
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The Chief Executive Officer, Mike Doyle, became interested when he heard about a family who had gone without food over a weekend. He was devastated to think that in his community, this could happen. He began to work with local churches and organizations to help meet some of these needs and he became the Executive Director of Cornerstone Assistance Network. The organization started with a gift of $30,000 and in 2008 has a budget of 1,779,609.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently have (6) locations and 12 programs and are in the process of centralizing all of Cornerstone's offices in one location except for the housing facilities.
What type of payments do you accept?
The services of Cornerstone Assistance Network are free to clients in need.

Cornerstone Assistance Network is a 501 C (3) organization and has a Board of Directors who provides the oversight of the organization.
