Since 1979 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit; accrediated by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS).
What is your primary product or service?
College prep programs provided in a coeducational day school setting to students from age 3 thru grade 12.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
A group of parents, teachers, and administrators broke away from the former White Lake School in east Fort Worth, because they wanted a school with uniforms and a rigorous academic curriculum, including Advanced Placement (AP) courses.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
The Oakridge School is the only ISAS school in this part of the metroplex and is the premier private school in Arlington. Oakridge prides itself on tradition, yet seeks to innovate in order to enhance students' experiences.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Located at 5900 West Pioneer Parkway, Oakridge's roughly 100 acres of property is divided between the main south campus and an athletic complex directly across the street on the north side of Pioneer Parkway. The school's Board of Regents plans to continue the development of the campus facilities to enhance students' experiences.
The school wide student teacher ratio is 10:1 and the average class size is about 15 students. The current enrollment of 875 students has been sustained for several years, and the future goal is to grow up to about 925 or so students while keeping the class sizes small.

The Oakridge School accepts credit card payments for application fees and tuition. Cash or checks payable to The Oakridge School are required for admissions testing.

Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Oakridge is a not-for-profit corporation overseen by a self-perpetuating Board of Regents made up of current and former parents. The board hires the school's headmaster who manages the day to day operations and ensures adherence to school mission, philosophy, and accreditation standards.
