How long have you been in business?
Watson has been a manufacturer of Truck and Track mounted drilling rigs for over 60 years. Fort Worth House Moving Company was started in 1923, evolving into foundation contract work after 1939 when the first drilling machine was built. In the early 1960's, Watson sold the first drill rig to a UK company. In 1973, the company became solely engaged in manufacturing and service to drilling contractors.
What is your primary product or service?
Manufacturer of a large line of foundation drilling equipment.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The third and fourth generations of the Watson family are currently guiding the company in research, manufacturing, and marketing.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Watson equipment has been utilized in the development of our electrical distribution grid for many years. The unique nature of this highly competitive market requires equipment that can move quickly, access restricted sites, and meet the drilling demands of a fast paced production schedule.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Watson Drill Rigs have been built in Fort Worth, Texas, for over 60 years. We are continually designing new and better drill rigs to meet the changing domestic and international markets.

Watson accepts AMEX, VISA, MASTERCARD, checks, cash, wire transfers, ACH, and LPO - Lease/Purchase Options.

Watson markets extend world wide. Our latest International deliveries have been highly specialized truck mounted units delivered to Siberia. Our team of engineers are continually working to deliver the latest in innovative equipment design to our customers.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
David Watson and his son Doug Watson own and operate Watson Drill Rigs
What are your hours of operation?
Office hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00PM, Monday through Friday. Service Department 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM weekdays. Can be reached by cell phone on weekends.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
Our Model 1000 S/N 2 was manufactured in the mid fifties. It is still in operation and has generated $8 million in revenue since it's last purchase in 2006, with no major repairs needed. Our Service Technicians have received many compliments on their attention to customer needs and response time.
